Ever tried un-plugging a modular telephone cord with the tiny RJ plug from a wall outlet. While it might be an easy task for most of us with artistic fingers, it is not so easy for those of us with not so artistic fingers. Pressing the locking tab far enough to unplug the cord from the outlet can be a daunting and frustrating task.
Now imagine doing it in a fast paced EMS environment where the AED to PC connectivity cable due to space limitations uses the tiny RJ plug to connect the data cable from the PC to the AED.
If you are using a PowerHeart AED G3 from Cardiac Science, you do not have to imagine; you are living it! No need to stress out any more as Ositech has the solution.
Our custom designed long body modular plugs with an extra long locking tab takes away the hassle from plugging and un-plugging the data cable. The long body of the plug allows for a better grab and effortless insertion of the cable plug into the AED recessed connector. The extra long locking tab takes away the challenge of playing with the tiny tab to unlock as when using standard plugs. Also, the modular plug is equipped with a strain relief and snag less design to protect the plastic tab from getting snagged and damaged or broken off. This provides greater return on your investment in the long run as there is no need for buying new cables to replace unusable ones with broken locking tabs.
To upload clinical patient data, the AED G3 provides communications via a custom serial port for connection to a Windows PC. Using the Rescuelink software on the PC, the stored data from an event can be uploaded from the AED so the hospital, physician, or emergency medical director can review what happened during the incident.
Ositech cables are custom designed for AED G3 to provide quick convenient connectivity between the PC and the AED G3 when uploading event data for review.
